Sanjay Dutt to shoot in Kolkata in December

Between to be or not to be, Sanjay Dutt chose the latter, leaving the authorities at 24th Kolkata International Film Festival rather confused. The Bollywood star had confirmed his presence at the inaugural ceremony, but stayed away from the starry dais, throwing up many questions at one go. Turns out, Dutt was supposed to be in town for Toolsidas Junior, the shooting for which was about to begin ahead of the festival.In this directorial by Mridul, who has a strong Kolkata connect, Dutt plays a snooker coach. An industry friend told us that shoot permissions for the November schedule was not sought on time and that led to its cancellation. The team will be back in December for a long chapter and Dutt will be around too. That would be in time for another festival.
