���������Amrita��������� marks the Bengali big screen debut of Smriti Iraani. And I am glad that I got to work with her on the same. In fact, this family drama centres around the characters, Anushree essayed by me and
Amrita, played by Smritiji,��������� says the actor, adding, ���������Anushree is an introvert and a girl of values. Even Amrita, who is her would be mother-in-law, is a woman of firm morals and values. While Biswajit Chakraborty is my on-screen dad, I am paired opposite Mainak in the film.���������
So what was it like working with television���������s most famous bahu? ���������I consider it a privilege to play bahu to Indian television���������s most famous bahu. I was a bit nervous on the first day of shoot. I was in awe of her and not sure if I could deliver properly. But when Tapanda introduced me to her, she assured me that everything will be fine. And thanks to her friendly demeanour and down-to-earth persona, I was soon at ease.���������
The two actors did have conversations on the sets, but they were mostly in English. ���������I remember celebrating my birthday on the sets. I was distributing sweets and I offered her some. She asked me in Bengali, ���������Tomar janmodin?��������� Otherwise, we kept discussing various topics in English. I asked her where she stayed in Mumbai and stuff. Never for once did she make me feel that she was such a big star,��������� Sangeeta adds before signing off.
