Sandipta Sen had a blast while shooting for her debut film

Sandipta Sen had started her acting career with the mega serial, Durga, 13 years back in July. And on July 8, the actress started shooting for her debut film, ‘Ekannoborti’, directed by Mainak Bhaumik.
The film also stars Aparajita Addhya, Aloknanda Roy, Saurasheni Maitra, Ananya Sen and others. “July seems to be a lucky month for me. I started my acting career from this month and now this film.I always wanted to work with Mainak as I find his films very contemporary. In Ekannoborti I play myself. My character’s name is Sandipta Sen, a television actress now working in a web series,” Sandipta said.

She adds Durga Puja plays a key part in the narrative. “Durga Puja plays a major part in this film, which will portray familial bonds in a light-hearted manner. It’s the story of a family that disintegrated into isolated units over time. During the household Durga Puja, the members reunite after a long time and the story unfolds,” shares the actress.

Sandipta, who is also a clinical psychologist, is counseling a lot of people in her program - Share with Sandipta, which she conducts free of cost from her social media handle. “In these trying times, it is absolutely necessary to look after the mental well-being of everyone. In my interactions with people, I try to do that as much as possible,” she added.
