If murder mysteries are your kind of movie, then the new release ‘Rahashyavedi Basab’ may grab your attention.
Samrat Mukherjee plays the titular role of a detective in this Swapan Ghosal directorial, with Kumar Chowdhury essaying his sidekick Saibal.
The story of this film weaves around Ranadakanta Nagchowdhuri, a renowned businessman of Udlabari Tea Estate. His only child Saikat returns home after obtaining a degree in mining engineering and a grand party is organized to celebrate the occasion.
Things go wrong when Saikat’s friend, Prasanta Roy is murdered at the party. Detective Basab Bandopadhyay and his assistant Saibal are called up to solve the mystery around the murderer. However, things take an interesting turn when Basab digs up dark family secrets.
