The film is titled 'Kaliachak: Chapter One'. Directed by Ratul Mukherjee, the movie is produced by Aseem Akhtar, who will also play the central role of Asif. Notably, the thriller will feature Rupanjana Mitra as Malakar, a tough cop.

Recently, a teaser poster for the film was unveiled on social media, sparking considerable interest among the audience. Given that the movie is based on a true event, it's natural for it to pique curiosity. However, the filmmakers have also taken some creative liberties for the sake of cinematic appeal. Primarily, the film's narrative will not only focus on the crime itself but will also shed light on the social conditions of that region, capturing the essence of the broader environment in Kaliachak.

The cast includes prominent names such as Rupanjana Mitra, Deboprasad Halder, Partha Sarathi, director Ratul Mukherjee himself, and Debopratim Dasgupta. In addition, many locals from the Malda district have been roped in for the movie. The musical will be scored by Vicky Singh, with lyrics by Tapas Sarkar and Sayantan. It's anticipated that the teaser for the film will be released very soon.

With its intriguing plot, noteworthy cast, and real-life connection, 'Kaliachak: Chapter One' is eagerly awaited by many. The makers have said the purpose of this film is to make people more compassionate, loving and careful towards society and family. Also, people are still scared of Kaliachak since they feel it is like a breeding ground of gangsters and illegal anti-social activities. However, the thriller aims to portray a different Kaliachak in this film.
