She started her journey way back in 2000 with the serial ‘Chokher Bali’, and since then, the actress has invested 23 years in honing her craft. Throughout her illustrious career, Rupanjana has gone through numerous ebbs and flows, all of which have given her a profound perspective on the ever-evolving entertainment industry.

Tollywood has faced several grievances and criticisms over the years with celebs being dragged into controversies. However, Rupanjana now holds a contrasting viewpoint, believing that the transformations occurring are steering the industry in a positive direction. According to her, "There is a positive change in our film fraternity. People have become kinder than before."

Notably, Rupanjana made a significant decision in 2019 when she joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), along with Rudranil Ghosh, marking her debut in politics. However, the political landscape within the party has witnessed shifts, with Tnushree, Kanchana, and others departing after the 2021 elections, leaving a lingering question about the party affiliations of Srabanti, Yash, and Parno Mittrah, including Rupanjana herself.

While Rudranil Ghosh lamented a dearth of opportunities in the industry post his political engagement, Rupanjana experienced a different narrative, enjoying a fruitful career despite her political commitments. Nevertheless, her journey wasn't without its share of controversies. She found herself embroiled in a heated confrontation with the Artists' Forum not long ago, openly stating, "Artists' Forum does not work for the sake of the artists." This assertion led to a potential legal showdown, prompting Rupanjana to extend an apology, ultimately facilitating reconciliation between the two parties.

Meanwhile, in her personal life, Rupanjana got engaged in February to her fiancé, Ratul Mukherjee, who also happens to be a filmmaker. As the mother of an eight-year-old son Riyan, the actress is on the brink of celebrating her wedding, which is slated for the end of this year.
