Rupanjana has a fun-filled birthday

Rupanjana Maitra celebrated her birthday on Friday with son Riyan and finance Ratool Mukherjee. “Birthdays are always special, but Riyan and Ratool made it even more so. However, Riyan has still not given me a card and I am eagerly waiting for it. Each time I ask him, he says, ‘I will.’ Ratool had organised a special stay at a south Kolkata hotel which has an infinity pool and we really enjoyed it.We were in the pool for hours. Lunch was continental, while my birthday dinner was north Indian. Ratool had made payesh too. I love to cut cakes since childhood and this time too, I cut many,” said the actress, who watched a horror film with her son on Saturday. “Both of us love horror films. After that, we hug each other and go to sleep,” said the actress.
What are her birthday resolutions? “No resolutions as such. But yes, with age, I want to be more mature. At this age, all I want is to be a better human being,” said the actress.
It is rumoured that Rupanjana is turning down offers from the small screen now. We asked the actress if this is true. “Well, yes. Till December I am taking a break from the small screen. After that, I will decide whether to act in serials or not,” said Rupanjana. She added, “I read a script by a director duo (husband-wife), which revolves around an incident in Ranigunj. I liked it too, but I am yet to sign on the dotted lines. I heard Shaheb Bhattacherjee and Ridhima Ghosh are part of the cast too.”
