Rukmini Maitra to Replace Koel Mallick opposite Dev?

With ‘Hoichoi Unlimited’ running successfully at the theatres, here’s a good news for all the Dev fans. The Tollywood heartthrob might soon work with Surinder Films. Speculation is rife the Bengali star is keen to make a film with Nishpal Rane and his team. Only a few weeks ago, the Tolly grapevine was speculating about the reunion of Dev and Koel Mallick as the fans were excited about their favorite pair returning to the big screen after ‘Cockpit’.
But latest reports suggest it’s not Koel, Rukmini Maitra will be seen opposite her beau Dev after ‘Kabir’ which didn’t enjoy a great outing at the Box Office earlier this year. Although there hasn’t been any official announcement, Raja Chanda is expected to don the director’s hat for this film.
Meanwhile, Koel Mallick has two upcoming films in hand – Sayantan Ghosal’s ‘Sagardiper Jwaker Dhan’ and Abhimanyu Mukherjee’s yet untitled thriller. The Bengali beauty was last seen in Mainak Bhaumik’s ‘Ghare And Baire’ released earlier this year.
