Rudranil returning to film shoot for a pulp fiction thriller
After a long gap, Rudranil Ghosh is returning to the shooting floors, this time in a completely different avatar. The new bearded look the actor shared on his Instagram handle has already made everyone talking about it. Those who are confused about what’s this new look for will be much relieved to hear that the versatile actor is prepping up for a pulp fiction thriller. The film is being directed by SRFTI final year student Jayabrata Das.
The entire team is from SRFTI and it’s a fresh unit. We have seen so many Bengali thrillers recently but the pulp fiction genre is yet to be explored. I think this film will inspire many more experimental works. We are planning to start shooting from September,” shared Rudranil adding that, “It’s a crime thriller with loads of twist and turn. The story starts when a group of common men joins hands to mastermind a series of criminal activities and it baffles the police department. It’s also a story of our decaying society. I won’t divulge any more since it’s a thriller. People will have to watch it to know the story.”
Since Tollywood is slowly getting back to its normal mode as a number of films have resumed shooting maintaining the COVID mandates has politics taken a backseat for Rudranil for the time being? “Politics is there where it belongs. If there was no pandemic you would have seen me shooting for a number of projects. I am looking forward to returning to the sets,” added the actor.
He’s also working on the final draft of ‘Bibaho Abhijan 2’ script. According to Rudranil, Bibaho Abhijan showed us how men get messed up when they fail to tell the truth to their wives. In the second part, you will see how things work out when the husbands confess the truth to their wives.
Apart from this, he’s also waiting to finish up the rest of the shoot of the Bollywood sports drama ‘Maidaan’ in Mumbai.
