Abhirup Ghosh, whose upcoming zombie movie ‘Zombiesthaan’ already making headlines, is making a horror comedy as well. He had earlier made two films ‘K: Secret Eye’ and ‘Rohoshyo Romancho Series’.
The horror-comedy titled ‘Brombhodoityo’ revolves around a young research scholar Sayantika played by
Saayoni Ghosh who is researching on some supernatural figures found in Bengali folklore and fairy tales.
Things get messy when she orders a vintage Brombhodoityo on a mysterious website. What happens next forms the crux of the film.
Rudranil Ghosh will be seen as the Brombhodoityo.
The film also has
Anindya Chatterjee, Sourav Saha, Soumen Bose, Soumalya Dutta in pivotal characters.
“The film is about the forgotten ghosts of Bengal. We celebrate Halloween but we forgot about our very own Mamdo, Brahmadotti, Shakchunni and others. So this is a story that will remind you of them,” said Saayoni while speaking about the film. The talented actress was last seen in two critically acclaimed films ‘Atithi’ and ‘Sakkhi’ which earned her accolades for delivering praiseworthy performances.
Meanwhile, ‘Zombiesthaan’ stars Tnusree Chakraborty, Rudranil Ghosh and
Rajatava Dutta in the lead. The film is set in the year 2030, when, on a certain Black Day, a mysterious bio-chemical weapon ends up affecting a vast majority of the world population.
