Ghosh is happy about working in Joydeep Mukherjee’s Akash Ongshoto Meghla, which has drawn inspiration from two short stories by Swapnomoy Chakraborty. While the director himself has penned the screenplay, the film also stars Rahul, Basabdatta Chatterjee, Ankita Chakroborty, Rumki Chatterjee, Damini Benny Basu and Prasun Gain. “The

actor Antara, who played my daughter, is a wonder kid! Joydeep has penned a great script, but as this is his debut film, his decisions often got challenged during the shoot. Even I had a few tiffs with him, but all for film’s good,” Rudranil told us.

The film connects the apparently disconnected stories of two people who lose their livelihood following the unexpected lockout of a factory. “Rasomoy Bagchi (Rudranil) used to work in a jute mill until it announces a lockout. His, his wife and daughter’s lives are shattered all of a sudden. What happens next is what the film is all about,” said the actor, who is currently busy penning the script for a Birsa Dasgupta film.
