‘Rong Beronger Korhi’s festival journey continues

While his latest directorial ‘Ahaa Re’ continues to win hearts even in the 9^th week of its release, 2018 was also a great year for director Ranjan Ghosh. Despite a poor box office outing after its March release, his critically acclaimed ‘Rong Beronger Korhi’ created waves all around travelling several film festivals not only in India but abroad also.
Now the film is an official selection at the 3rd Nitte International Film Festival, 2019 and it gives Ranjan immense pleasure to see his film’s festival journey hasn’t stopped yet.
“The screening is today at 7 pm. It's a good run for Rong Beronger Korhi, after last year's screenings at the Habitat Film Festival, Third Eye Asian Film Festival Mumbai, NFAI screening Pune, Dhaka International Film Festival this year and the selection in the Infian Competition section of this year's Bengaluru International Film Festival. The film won big at the Telangana Bengali Film Festival last year, and also screened at the Abu Dhabi festival. My producer Rupa Datta, our mentor Aparna Sen and the entire cast and crew are happy that we are being able to showcase the film to such a diverse audience,” said an elated Ranjan Ghosh when caught up with the director over the telephone.
