It was announced sometime back and we were waiting for the trophies to arrive. But that got held up as Spain is again in lockdown. Hence sharing the good news right away. Hearty congratulations to Jaya Ahsan and the team.”
Starring two acting powerhouses Jaya Ahsan and Prosenjit Chatterjee, ‘Robibaar’ is yet another intense story of redefining love from a sensitive filmmaker like Atanu’s caliber, whose storytelling pattern always comes with some element of mystery. The plot of ‘Robibaar’ which happens in one day follows Asimava and Sayoni played by Prosenjit and Jaya, who got separated once and suddenly crosses each other’s paths after 15 years on a gloomy Sunday. It is a curious interplay of conflict, deceit and disbelief.
The National Award-winning filmmaker’s detailed take on relationship stories about the human psyche has always been a serious cine buff’s most preferred subject like we have seen in Atanu's films such as ‘Rupkatha Noy’, ‘Angshumaner Chhobi’, ‘Ek Phali Rodh’, ‘Takhan Teish’ and ‘Mayurakshi’ to name a few.
