The turn of events leading up to the current casting had its share of challenges. Reportedly, Swastika Dutta had to pass on her role due to scheduling conflicts. Delving deeper into the circumstances, sources indicated that Debashree Roy, a staunch animal rights advocate, was summoned for a court hearing related to an animal rights case. This unexpected development led to a delay in the shooting schedule. Unfortunately, coordinating new shooting dates that matched Swastika's availability proved challenging, resulting in her decision to exit the project.
Following Swastika's departure,
Ritwika Pal stepped into the role. On her recent involvement, Ritwika has shared, "I began my part of the shooting three days back." Commenting on the cast changes, director Saurav Chakrabarti mentioned his disappointment in not being able to synchronize dates with Swastika, but expressed his gratitude in having Ritwika join the team. The filming started a few days ago and will take a break during the
Puja festival, only to resume thereafter.
As for Swastika Dutta, her schedule remains packed. She wrapped up shooting for Pratim D Gupta’s ‘Chalchitra’, co-starring Shantanu Maheshwari. She is also playing one of the leads in two upcoming web series: ‘Andarmahal’, alongside Ishaa Saha and
Saurav Das, and the upcoming second season of ‘Gobhir Joler Machh’.
