. "I was a bit jittery before facing the camera after so many months. But once I was in my makeup van, I slipped into the character. Once on the floors, I was ready mentally. I feel once an actor is always an actor," said the actress.
Talking about the film and her character, Rituparna said, "I play Maya, a free-flowing girl by nature. She is an author by profession. Maya is married to an architect, played by Chandan. He is ambitious by nature. They both are on different journeys but somehow decide to walk the same path. The film shows their journey over a span of 12 years. It is lovely to work with Chandan after

. Both of us are having a lovely time. I am super excited to shoot for this film as I am shooting after so long. It is like oxygen to me."
Sunny, on his part, said, "It’s a roller-coaster ride for this couple. How they move apart from each other and at the same time what keeps them together is this film all about. It is lovely to work with Ritudi and she suggests a lot of things to make a scene look better."
The film will be shot in and around Kolkata and Darjeeling.
Salt also features Ishaan Majumdar and Shuvam. The music of the film is composed by Ronojoy.
