National award winning actress
Rituparna Sengupta, also feels the same way about thrillers. She is all excited to work in another women-centric crime thriller.
Rituparna, who is on the set shooting for the film, tells us, “This film is cinematographer-director
Kabir Lal’s next, titled ‘
Antardrishti
’. It is based on the story of a girl who slowly going blind and how the events in her life turn into an investigation saga. It is a women-centric crime thriller. I love that there are many layers to my character. I am playing a double role - the protagonist and that of her sister, in the film.”
The film is a remake of ‘Julia’s Eyes’, a Spanish horror film, the Hindi version of which stars
Taapsee
Pannu and Gulshan Devaiah. The film has also been remade in Telugu, Tamil, Marathi and the Bengali version stars Rituparna.
Talking about this she says, “It feels great to see that many women are exploring interesting postmodern narratives in the industry and trying our best to entertain our audiences in our capabilities. Taapsee is a brilliant actor and I can’t wait for audiences to love our films.”
