Rituparna Sengupta likely to play detective Mitin Masi

While Rituparna Sengupta is all set for her next ‘Gaheen Hriday’, based on Suchitra Bhattacharya’s novel, a new update has cropped up about her next projects. According to industry sources, the popular actress will be seen as a female detective ‘Mitin Masi’ in an upcoming thriller. Interestingly, this fictional sleuth is also the creation of late writer Suchitra Bhattacharya.
Rituparna has always said that most of Suchitra Bhattacharya's literary works are very close to her heart and that she was lucky to win the National Award for ‘Dahan’, which was also inspired by the late writer’s novel.
Meanwhile, Agnidev Chatterjee’s ‘Gaheen Hriday’ will see the actress playing the role of a housewife, Sohini who is caught in a love triangle between her husband, Bhaskar (Debshankar Chakraborty) her lover, Anupam (Kaushik Sen) from Seattle. But when Sohini is about to leave her husband to settle down with Anupam, her cancer diagnosis throws her into a dilemma and makes her rethink about the things she actually desires.
