Rituparna Sengupta who recently recovered from COVID-19 at a Singapore recovery centre will soon start shooting for
Veena Bakshi’s Hindi film ‘Ittar’.
Talking about her latest project, Rituparna told ETimes: “It is a sweet yet
mature love story that depicts the unusual nuances of two people from completely different backgrounds, who meet in different circumstances. The story of the film is actually about a middle-aged couple who find love and comfort in each other’s company.
Dipak Tijori is cast opposite me in this film.”
Veena Bakshi, the National Award-winning filmmaker had earlier directed ‘The Coffin Maker’ starring
Naseeruddin Shah,
Randeep Hooda and
Apoorva Sharma. In ‘Ittar’, Rituparna will be seen playing the role of Abha, who is a school teacher. “The film will show how Abha meets Dipak Tijori’s character and then how their lives get entangled. It is a beautiful love story penned by Veena,” said the actress.
The seasoned actress is also playing one of the protagonists in
Kabir Lal’s upcoming thriller 'Antardrishti'. It also stars two popular actors from Bengal Sean Banerjee and
Indrajit Chakraborty. The film is a revenge thriller that’s been shot in four languages - Bengali, Marathi, Tamil and Kannada. Rituparna is playing the lead in the Bengali version.
