While one screening was held before, today is yet another show of the movie. Rituparna not only played the lead, Basundhara, in the film, she also helms the production. “We have our second screening today. I am proud that ours is the only selected Bengali film amidst a whole gamut of Indian releases,” she told us, from Nuova Cinema Aquila, where the film was shown. Rituparna has already visited Florence’s famous Uffizi Gallery known for masterpieces by Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raffaello.

Ahaa Re, directed by Ranjan Ghosh, is a boundary-defying love story between a Bangladeshi chef and a home cook from Kolkata.
