She is known to work 24x7, but a recent trip to Italy has turned out to be a lot of fun for
Rituparna Sengupta. Even though she is on work, the Tollywood star has managed to sneak time out of her busy schedule to explore a host of tourist destinations.
Story goes that Rituparna is there to attend the screening of Ahaa Re, which is part of Indian Film Festival Roma, along with Kalank, Pink, Baahubali: The Beginning, Bahubali 2: The Conclusion, October, Udta Punjab and Hindi Medium.
While one screening was held before, today is yet another show of the movie. Rituparna not only played the lead, Basundhara, in the film, she also helms the production. “We have our second screening today. I am proud that ours is the only selected Bengali film amidst a whole gamut of Indian releases,” she told us, from Nuova Cinema Aquila, where the film was shown. Rituparna has already visited Florence’s famous Uffizi Gallery known for masterpieces by Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raffaello.
“I also got the opportunity to see the statue of
David by Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci’s Adam and Eve. I am currently in Rome and will soon be visiting the Colosseum and even take the famous bus ride,” she said. Ahaa Re, directed by Ranjan Ghosh, is a boundary-defying love story between a Bangladeshi chef and a home cook from Kolkata. Talking to us earlier, the director had earlier said that he was grateful to Rituparna and his entire team to pulling off the venture.
