Rituparna in a horror film for the first time

This would be the first time you will see Rituparna Sengupta in a Bengali horror flick. According to director Mohua Chakraborty, her upcoming movie ‘Aamar Voy’ will send a shiver up your spine. Do you really believe in ghosts? If you are not easily convinced, then Mohua assures her upcoming movie may force you to alter your beliefs.
Rituparna has been roped in to play the leading lady and her character has a connection with the supernatural world.The story revolves around the relationship between a disturbed sister and her elder brother. Anubhav Mohanty will be seen as Rituparna’s brother. The film has five stories which get interlinked at the end.
The cast also includes Shantilal Mukherjee, Manali Manisha Dey, Mousumi Bhattacharya, newcomer Rick and many others. The story of this horror movie has been penned by Arindam Basu and the director Mohua Chakraborty herself. Shooting part is already over and recently dubbing session was completed.
Meanwhile, Rituparna has started shooting for a family drama ‘Chhut’ which also stars Saswata Chatterjee in the lead. She is also playing the lead in two Bangladeshi films beside Indrasis Acharya’s soon-to-be-released ‘Parcel’ which again sees Saswata opposite her.
