Rittika Sen in a social drama

Sanjay Das directed ‘O Bondhu Amar’ tells the story of Ruhi and Adi. The story starts with Ruhi being attacked by goons. When Adi tries to save her, a goon strikes Ruhi’s head with a rod and she loses her consciousness. Later the doctors inform Ruhi’s family that she has lost her memory. What happens next forms the crux of the film.
Rittika Sen who is playing Ruhi said “I am playing a layered character.Ruhi has lost her memory and she is now a different person. It’s quite challenging to play such a role. I have already worked with many of my co-actors in this film, so we share a great bonding. The heat is scorching, so we are cracking jokes to keep us motivated in our work.”
While Mit plays Adi, Mousumi Saha plays his mother. Arun Banerjee and Anuradha Roy will be seen as Ruhi’s father and mother. Supriyo Dutta, Kharaj Mukherjee and Biswajit Chakraborty also play pivotal roles in the film. Shooting for the film has already started in and around Pailan.
The story, script and lyrics are by Bethun Bera. Anjan-Jay has composed the music. Kumar Sanu, Palak Muchhal, Raj Barman, Zubeen Garg, Aman Trikha, Anamta have lent their voices to the songs in this Bengali social drama.
