Ritabhari Chakraborty kick starts ‘Fatafati’ shooting amid the scorching summer heat

Ritabhari Chakraborty has joined hands with director Aritra Mukherjee for yet another film on a pressing issue. Their last film ‘Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti’ was appreciated by one and all. This time she is playing one of the leads in the film ‘Fatafati’ opposite Abir Chatterjee. The social drama has already hit the floors and the shooting is in full swing. ‘Fatafati’ also has popular TV actress Swastika Dutta in a pivotal role.
Giving a peek into the film’s main theme, Ritabhari Chakraborty shared, "Fatafati is a film very close to my heart because of its message. Tracing a journey of a plus-size model while exploring the idea of unrealistic beauty standards is already a winner in my head! I am super excited to start working on it with Abir Chatterjee."

Incidentally, Ritabhari has undergone a massive physical transformation for her character in Fatafati. A few weeks ago, the actress shared a glimpse of the social drama on her Instagram handle and garnered a lot of praise from the audience.
It’s been more than a year since she had to undergo two back-to-back surgeries. And now, after enduring the physical and mental stress for all these months, the bubbly actress is all charged up and ready to move on.

Ritabhari will be playing a regular small-town tailor who has an ardent interest in fashion in her next film ‘Fatafati’. What happens when her passion collides with her everyday societal struggle? This Aritra Mukherjee directorial aims to rise above conventions and shatter glass ceilings, empowering women across the country.
Meanwhile, the talented actress is working on three more Bengali films ‘Tui’, ‘Chhi Chhi TV’, and an untitled one. She is also gearing up for her next Hindi project as well.
