While speaking about the film the filmmaker from Assam explained: "Bulbul Can Sing portray strong women character at its heart. It feels nice to see the critics and audience alike have welcomed such stories. It also shows us that it doesn't matter whether the film is directed by a male or female filmmaker. I would be happy to see more and more women in the industry make shine and also open windows for fellow women."
