Rii relieved to play a positive character

Rii is on cloud nine. After portraying characters with negative shades for long, the actress is now playing a ‘sweet’ character in a TV serial, Trinayani. “I was getting irritated of portraying 'bad' women. Finally, I am working on something positive. My character, Rangana is sweet. Ektu boka shoka bhalo manush type er. She is married to the same family in which Trinayani is married.We are, in fact, jaas. While the entire family in engulfed with negativity, my character brings in a bit of positivity. I am loving it,” she said.
Meanwhile, there are many dark characters in the serial too. Indranil Mullick, Debjani Chatterjee and Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee are playing grey characters. Trinayani is about a girl who can see the future and that brings her close to Dripto, whom she saves from an accident.
Sujoy said, “Debjani and Indranil are great to work with. Both are very good actors and Indranil keeps us entertained with his jokes on the floor every day.” The serial is directed by Swarnendu Samaddar. Trinayani's character is Sujoy’s second tryst with a negative character after his big screen outing with Bidaay Byomkesh, directed by Debaloy Bhattacharya.
