Ridhima puts rumours to rest of not quitting work post marriage

Actress Ridhima Ghosh who’s all set to marry beau Gaurav Chakrabarty this winter has been recently subjected to a lot of rumours that she is going to give up her career post the wedding. The remarks didn’t go down well with the actress who posted a strong message on her social media account, putting all rumours to rest. She wrote to her detractors, mentioning, I am here to say, and stop being regressive.I’ve put in years of hard work to make a career for myself. Why should I give all of it up just because I want to get married to the man I love? I will get married and I will continue to work. None of these rumours can bring me down. The actress was backed by her friends from the industry apart from Gaurav, who’ve all come out in her support saying you’re definitely here to say and more power to you.

We wonder, why even today, women are expected to give up work post marriage. Are we at all going forward?
