Real spills on the reel!

This is yet another classic case of the real spilling on to the reel. The case in point is Debaditya���������s second big screen outing, ���������8:08 er Bonga Local���������. The film will have the Barasat eveteasing incident with Rinku Das, whose teenage brother was killed by three goons, while he was trying to protect his sister.
Sonalee Chaudhuri has been roped in to play the reel Rina.Yes, that���������s the name of her character here. Having bagged a ���������real��������� role for the first time, Sonalee wanted to be thorough with her homework. Sonalee recounted, ���������When I was sent the script, I secretly wished to meet Rinku. I had a word with the director on this and he immediately agreed to set up a meeting with Rinku. Before going to her house, we went to all those places, where the incident had unfolded.���������
The next stop was Rinku���������s place. ���������We had to walk for a while before reaching her house as it wasn���������t possible for the vehicle to enter that road. Surveying their condition, one cannot say that the family is well-off but what touched me was Rinku���������s antorikota. The moment she saw me, she said that I was a familiar face for her, that she had seen me on the telly. ���������Cha toh khetei hobe���������, said Rinku before Debaditya narrated the whole purpose of our visit. When he said that I would be playing her, she looked at me for a moment. Tears welled up in her eyes. I had not known till that instant how to initiate a conversation with her as talking about that night would bring back the painful memories. But the moment our eyes met, there was a connection. Sonalee went on to add, ���������I asked her what she would do if she met the same guys again to which she answered, ���������Guli kore debo oder, Sonalee���������. Rinku recounted the horror unleashed on that fateful day and explained how she was asked to identify the culprits among 30 to 35 people. She said that the moment she had recognized the main person, she could not control the urge to slap him across the face. Imagine the plight of this girl, who now, does not go out of her home and earns a living by stitching blouses.���������
When CT got in touch with Rinku when this conversation was happening, all she said was, ���������I want justice. Those behind this incident, should be punished.��������� Rinku also had a sincere request, ���������I want the truth to be told. The film should show the exact incident. Even when a film has a real inspiration, cinematic liberties aren���������t uncommon. But Debaditya assured, ���������We are sticking to the original incident. No digression there except for a five per cent difference. I have also told Rinku of the same.��������� That apart, the film-maker asked her what she wore on that day just so that he can keep the facts as close to reality as possible. ���������We will be shooting some of this sequence in Taki and strangely, the place bears a resemblance to where the actual incident had happened,��������� Debaditya signed off.
