Rayati Bhattacharya has started shooting for her next ‘Shesh Pata’, directed by
Atanu Ghosh. Rayati will play one of the leads in the film alongside Prosenjit Chatterjee, Gargee Roychowdury and
Vikram Chatterjee among others.
Rayati who will be seen opposite
Vikram in the film is quite nervous and at the same time super excited. “I am both nervous and excited. I play Shaunak’s (Vikram) girlfriend Medha and this character is different from what I have played so far.
I don’t know whether I can match the director’s expectations. My co-actors are all heavily experienced. Most my scenes are with Vikram. I know Gargee di since my theatre days as we have worked together earlier and she helps her co-actors a lot. I have already done workshop with Vikram. He’s also quite helpful. I am forever thankful to Atanu Ghosh for considering me for this character. I believe this will be a great learning experience for me,” Rayati shared with ETimes.

Meanwhile, speaking about the film, director Atanu Ghosh says debt or loan can’t just be associated with money, “My film Shesh Pata explores the very basic concept of debt and the idea of freedom attached to the word. See, debt comes with quite a lot of mental and emotional costs. Some debts become so heavier on our mind. Interestingly, just think the person to whom you have to pay the debt might be terribly unsettled as well. So it can take a toll on both the giver and the receiver. It’s quite an absorbing theme to experiment with.”
