Rakhee Gulzar starts shooting for her comeback Bengali film 'Amar Boss'

Veteran actress Rakhee Gulzar has initiated her comeback journey in the Bengali film industry with Shiboprosad Mukherjee's upcoming film, 'Amar Boss,' marking her return after a hiatus of two decades. The much-anticipated shooting began in Sector Five, Kolkata, and has captured various scenes across the city, including the iconic Victoria Memorial Square.The excitement surrounding Rakhee Gulzar's return to the big screen in Bengal has transformed Victoria Memorial Square into a bustling location, with fans and onlookers eager to catch a glimpse of the legendary actress.The shooting commenced on January 17 and has been a visual treat for the audience.Renowned for her illustrious career, Rakhee Gulzar's last Bengali theatrical release was Rituparno Ghosh’s 'Shubho Mahurat' in 2003. Although she was seen in Gautam Halder’s 'Nirban’ in 2019, 'Amar Boss' marks her official comeback to mainstream Bengali cinema.
Talking to the press, Nandita Roy, co-director of the film, expressed her joy at collaborating with Rakhee Gulzar, stating, “I have great regards for Rakhee di and wanted to work with her for a long. Amar Boss was conceived keeping her in mind. We are delighted about getting this opportunity to work with her.”
