The shooting commenced on January 17 and has been a visual treat for the audience.Renowned for her illustrious career, Rakhee Gulzar's last Bengali theatrical release was Rituparno Ghosh’s 'Shubho Mahurat' in 2003. Although she was seen in Gautam Halder’s 'Nirban’ in 2019, 'Amar Boss' marks her official comeback to mainstream Bengali cinema.
Talking to the press, Nandita Roy, co-director of the film, expressed her joy at collaborating with Rakhee Gulzar, stating, “I have great regards for Rakhee di and wanted to work with her for a long. Amar Boss was conceived keeping her in mind. We are delighted about getting this opportunity to work with her.”
