Rajinikanth visits Kurseong Rangers College

Leaving its history of political turmoil behind, the Queen of the Hills is now playing host to the country’s topmost superstar — Rajinikanth. While he is already in Kurseong, lapping up all the love showered on him, around 150 technicians are likely to travel to the shooting destination in the lap of Kanchenjunga.

Earlier, Barfi! starring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra was shot in Darjeeling and a portion of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Main Hoon Na was also canned there.In recent times, Sujoy Ghosh shot a Kahaani 2 in Kalimpong, amidst much fanfare. Directed by Karthik Sabbaraj, the film will be shot across Darjeeling and Kalimpong. The team has been to Mount Herman School, Kalimpong, Kurseong Rangers College where parts of the movie will be shot. This morning, Rajinikanth met the faculty at Kurseong Rangers College and spent time on campus exchanging pleasantries. The shoot is likely to begin from Tuesday and continue for about a month.
