It looks like crime thrillers have become a favourite genre among the Bengali filmmakers. Director Susanta Saha’s upcoming project ‘Sakkhee- an eyewitness’ is all set for a summer release this year and the shoot is currently underway in different parts of Kolkata. Noted actor Rajesh Sharma will be making a comeback to Bengali cinema with this film after a long time.

This thriller reportedly has decent amounts of comedy and romance to add more flavour. The narrative follows a small boy who is allegedly a murder witness and how he helps the police to arrest the murderers.

The cast of the film includes

Soumitra

who is famous for his Bengali band Bhoomi, versatile actor

Sabyasachi

Chakraborty, Kanchana, director Susanta Saha’s son

Sreyan

(child artist) and many more. Sabyasachi will be seen as a police officer.

Most of the shooting will be done in some prominent locations in Kolkata. However, the climax scenes may get a shooting schedule outside the city. Recently ‘Sakkhee- an eyewitness’ had a shoot in South Kolkata and it dragged a pretty good crowd.
