‘Main Kaun Hoon’ symbolizes a woman as Ma

Durga

- the Goddess of love, patience, sacrifice, endurance and also Ma Kali - Goddess of power, revenge, strength. A woman is a Multitasker - A wife, a mother, a cook and also a working woman. She devotes her entire life to her husband and her in laws but there is no one who could understand what she desires, what she dreams. A woman against a man’s world – that’s what the story focuses on and how she eventually takes the step forward to prove it keeping her family respect and values intact forms the crux of the short film.

While speaking about his latest short, Raja Ram said: “Main Kaun Hoon is all about a married young woman who is in search of her own identity and how she eventually breaks free keeping her values and responsibilities intact, and finds her own identity. See, I normally make woman-centric short films because I feel around the world woman oriented subjects are accepted really well. The injustice against women everywhere is a harsh reality and stories need to be told to make people aware.”
