Raj Chakraborty can’t stop praising
Swatilekha Sengupta and Parno Mittra, with whom he worked for the first time in his political drama, Dharmayuddha. The film also has
Subhashree, Soham and others in the lead.
“I offered Parno the lead role in Kanamachi, but our dates didn’t work out at that time. Both of us wanted to work with each other and we were waiting for the right script. And I must say, in this film, Parno is outstanding.
I have become Swatilekhadi’s fan after working with her. At this age too, she shot with us at 3-30 at night with the same energy,” said Raj.
In Dharmayuddha, Raj wants to explore the day-to-day struggles of a border area where religion and caste issues take centre stage in almost every situation, which leads to murder and bloodshed every now and then.
