Rainbow Jelly wins big at Hyderabad festival

Soukarya Ghosal’s Rainbow Jelly won big at the Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival (HBFF) that concluded recently. The film received the Best Film award in both Jury and Viewers’ Choice categories. Besides, its lead actor Mahabrata Basu won the Best Actor award in the Popular Choice category, Arghakamal Mitra won the Best Editor and Soukarya won the Best Screenplay awards. “It is not every day that a film wins the Best Film award in both Jury and Popular Choice category.This, for me, is the most interesting part. Awards and recognitions are very encouraging,” the director told us.
Besides Rainbow Jelly, Indrasis Acharya received the Best Director award for Pupa and Sudiptaa Chakraborty won Best Supporting Actress for the same film.
