Not everything is scripted on a film’s set. And that’s what Srijit Mukherji understood the hard way while shooting for

Shahjahan Regency

with Rituparna Sengupta. As the camera started rolling, it began pouring heavily. Srijit, taking a cue from the weather gods, tweaked the scene around and turned it into a rain sequence. It impressed the entire unit and so happy was Rituparna with the scene that she said only Srijit could come up with such a sudden change in plan. Shahjahan Regency is based on Sankar’s Chowringhee and stars actors like Swastika Mukherjee, Parambrata Chatterjee, Anirban Bhattacharya, Abir Chatterjee, Mamata Shankar, Anjan Dutt, Rittika Sen, Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee and others.
