Raima Sen has won the Best Actress award at 6th Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival for her captivating performance in Churni Ganguly’s critically acclaimed ‘Tarikh’. The elated actress took to her Twitter handle to share the good news with her fans.
The film has also been selected for screening at the fourth BRICS Film Festival. ‘Tarikh’ was appointed by India’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to be considered by the selection committee of the festival, which will be held in Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil, from September 23 to October 11.
‘Tarikh’ tends to focus on the positive outcomes of social media along with addressing issues of intellectualism, loneliness, and relationships. With a stellar cast including Saswata Chatterjee, Ritwick Chakraborty and Raima Sen, the relationship drama has already received a handful of prestigious festival laurels.
Raima Sen currently has her kitty full with both Bengali and Hindi projects. Her latest release ‘Sitara’ is running in the theatres right now.
