Rahul is off to Nagaland this Puja

For the past few years, Rahul has been travelling during Durga Puja. Last year, he went to

Lakshadweep

and this year, he will travel to

Nagaland

with his friends during the five days of Puja. “On Panchami, I am visiting Nagaland. I want to trek to one of the most quintessential destinations of Dzoukou valley. Japfu Peak, which is the highest point in Nagaland, offers a great view I’m told. I am literally reading up on Nagaland so that I can explore the state well,” said the actor.

Recently, the actor also shot with Sandipta Sen for the promo of the serial, Ai Khuku Ai. “For the first time, I play an autistic boy in this serial. It’s indeed challenging to play Rahul, which happens to be the name of my character,” the actor said. When asked how he had prepared for the role, he added, “I watched a lot of films on autistic people so that I could have a fair idea about their body language etc.” Rahul is also excited about Joydeep Mukherjee’s film titled Akash Ongshoto Meghla, which draws inspiration from two short stories by Swapnomoy Chakraborty. “The film connects apparently disconnected stories of two people, who have lost their way in life as a consequence of the unexpected closure of a factory. Rasomoy Bagchi used to work in a

mill as a labourer until his factory announces an unexpected lockout. The life of Rasomoy, his wife and daughter were shattered all of a sudden,” said Rahul, who plays a brilliant university student, Anirban Sarkar. However, he has to drop out in search of a job.

“The story is about how he supports his family and meets Rasomoy,” he said.
