“He is a real-life character, who was a disciple of Vasudev Sarbobhouma and a fellow of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. He is also the author of Brihat Tantra Sar, which is considered the greatest book on Tantra ever written,” reveals Raajhorshee adding that the image of Maa Kali worshipped today was also conceived by Krishnananda Agambagish.

The director also explains why he decided to work on a paranormal thriller: “If we look at Bengali literature, after Bibhutibhusan Bandopadhyay’s Taranath Tantrik, there has hardly has been any paranormal sleuth, if I may use the term. We have hardly had a fictional character which has appeared and solved an entire case supernaturally.”

In the film, Agambagish drops in like a time traveler in all three stories to solve paranormal problems like any other sleuths we have come across in Bengali literature.

Produced by Just Studio, the film has an ensemble cast including Rudraprasad Sengupa, Arpita Chatterjee, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Rajesh Sharma, Padmanava Dasgupta, Bidipta Chakroborty, Anyann Bhowmick.
