Priyanka-Srabanti to star in a film together

Priyanka Sarkar and Srabanti have kickstarted shoot for Anshuman Pratyush’s film Dhappa. The first location of the shoot is in Baruipur. “I have worked with Priyanka in Nirbhoya but with Srabanti, this is my first film. The first shot was with Srabanti and she delivered a beautiful performance. Both Srabanti and Priyanka’s characters in the film are tough and have many layers. Whose character positive and whose is negative will be revealed at the end of this psychological thriller,” said the director.
Talking about the story line of the film, Anshuman revealed, “Srabanti plays Uma, a reclusive character in this film. She has not gone out of her house in the past three years, nor has she allowed anyone in the house. On a rainy night, Pritha (Priyanka) along with her son, comes to her house for shelter as her car broke down in the middle of the road. Pritha is pregnant. Looking at their condition, Uma allows Pritha and her son to take shelter in her house and the story takes a turn from there. Does Pritha have a motive? Why did Uma didn’t allow any visitor in her house for so long? Why did she allow Uma? All these questions will get answered at the climax of the film.” Anshuman Pratyush is currently busy with the post-production of Nirbhoya starring Priyaka, Shantilal Mukherjee, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, Sreelekha Mitra, and Hiya in the lead.
