Priyanka is hopeful about Andarkahini

Judges Court put a stay order on Andarkahini due to a tussle between director Arnab Midya and producer Tarun Rana, uncertainty looms large over the future of the

film

. But Priyanka Sarkar, who plays the lead role, is having mixed feelings. On the one hand she is very disappointed with the delay in its release and on the other hand, she is quite hopeful too.

Priyanka, who is playing three more characters in the film, said, “It feels really bad when you act in a film and it doesn’t release on time. Andarkahini has gone to around 50 film festivals and done so well. I have received many awards too. But nothing feels complete till the time our film releases. What’s the point of acting in the film if people cannot see my work?” she added.

A stay order was put on the release of the film after Tarun Rana moved the court against Arnab Midya. Tarun alleged that Arnab didn’t keep him in the loop and even omitted his name as the producer from the nomination details at the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival. Meanwhile, calling all the allegations baseless, Arnab said that he had enough material to prove his claims and will do so in the court.

“I am really hopeful that things will get sorted out soon and the film will release in a few months’ time. I have really worked hard for all the four characters and I am sure that it will not go waste,” Priyanka signed off.
