President Pranab Mukherjee watches Muktodhara

President Pranab Mukherjee watched Bengali venture Nandita Roy's and Shiboprasad Mukherjee's Muktodhara recently. A source said actress Rituparna Sengupta organished a special screening for the President at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. ""At the screening Pranab Mukherjee revealed that he usually does not like to watch movies but wanted to make exception for Muktodhara because of the social message it conveyed,"" said our source.
Muktodhara has Rituparna essay the role of Niharika Chatterjee whose marriage to public prosecutor Arindam Chatterjee is in shambles.Though a talented dancer Niharika cannot escape the trap of her marriage.
When contacted an excited Rituparna said, ""I thanked him for squeezing out time to watch my film and he thanked me back for showing him a good film. I am still reeling under his compliment.""
