Saptaswa Basu promises to deliver yet another intense thriller with ‘
Pratidwandi
’ after his previous film ‘Network’. The trailer of this fast-paced thriller is out now and it gives a glimpse of how engaging the narrative will be with loads of twists and turns in the plot.
Starring
Saswata Chatterjee and
Rudranil Ghosh, ‘Pratidwandi’ seems to be an intense plot focusing on a rivalry while politics adds the slicing in the cake. Saswata will be seen as Dr. Bakshi and Rudranil has been cast as a mathematics teacher, Sukumar Sen.
Rini Ghosh and Sourav Das play detectives and
Saayoni Ghosh takes up the role of a politician in the film. The tone of the trailer along with the sequences points towards a dark conflict between the protagonists.

It all starts when Dr. Bakshi’s son gets kidnapped and Sukumar becomes one of the suspects. When investigation starts it’s revealed there were few murders in the city and all are somehow connected to the investigation. Sourav’s character leading a crisis management team that solves a number of cases around the city have an interesting role to play in the narrative. The script of ‘Pratidwandi’ has been developed by Arnab Bhowmik and his team.
