Prantik Banerjee is all set to share the screen with Rajasree Rajbanshi in an upcoming Bengali film titled ‘Rashi’. The film is a social drama that follows a young woman’s tumultuous journey and how she comes across various characters everyday who in turn affect her life in a larger way. Directed by Maujja Team, the film also stars Santana Bose, Abhinandan Chatterjee, Barnali Das Panda, Riti Chowdhury and Pritha Ghosh in key roles.
The plot revolves around Rashi who becomes a loner in life and depression eventually takes a toll on her mental health after witnessing some horrific incidents. Then Rashi meets Rohit who is a singer and at the same time runs a successful business of hotels and resorts. The two starts a new chapter in life as marriage seems to be the only solution to Rashi’s depression. They seemed to be leading a happy married life but past trauma kept haunting her. The story is all about Rohit helping Rashi overcome her past trauma and move on in life.
While the story is by Rajashree Rajbanshi, the script and dialogues are penned by Dr. Krishnendu Chatterjee. DOP is Abhishek Chatterjee and Prashant H.Kundu and Debraj Sinha are the creative producers.
The music has been composed by Aditi Bose while the two tracks in the film. 'Tor Gaan' and 'Bhangey Ghoom' have been sung by Aditi Bose and Shubham Dey. Music has been arranged by Shamik Guha Roy. Arin Prosenjit Das is composing the background music.
