Prantik Banerjee juggles between his film and TV commitments like a pro. The popular actor will soon share the screen with actress Swastika Dutta in Arijit directed ‘Ananda Ashram’. The film has been shot in Kolkata, Andul and Chatterjeehat and according to the actor, the experience is quite enriching.

Prantik who got to explore some really interesting locations during the shoot says although ‘

Ananda Ashram

’ is a horror story, but it’s not at all too horrifying. Instead, it has a lot of emotional twists: “The storyline revolves around an old mansion and speaks about two generations. I can’t divulge more right now. Arijit is a new director and both Swastika and me working with him for the first time and it’s quite fun. This is also the first time I worked with Swastika and she’s an amazing co-actor. We are having a ballAs an actor I am getting so much freedom to give my inputs and that’s a really great experience. Arijit has worked as an assistant director for years and this is his first directorial yet he’s so calm and composed.”

Prantik had to shoot for this project in between shooting for his two TV serials and the talented actor is beaming in positive energy. “It’s a relief to see actors like me are once again busy in work and getting interesting offers consistently. That’s how we keep ourselves positive despite all those pandemic negativities. We are back on the shooting floors like it used to be earlier. Yes, because of the COVID situation there are restrictions and guidelines but meeting our old friends, working with them again after a long time is something to look forward to,” shares the actor.

Meanwhile, Prantik has three more films in his kitty – ‘

Chheledhora

’, ‘Hridpindo’ and ‘Syndicate’. While ‘Chheledhora’ is yet to hit the shooting floors, ‘

Hridpindo

’ and ‘Syndicate’ are ready for their theatrical release. Apart front these three, he also has a few web releases in the coming months.
