Pradeep Sarkar was a master at editing: Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury

Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury who had worked with the late Pradeep Sarkar also started his journey as an adman, much like Sarkar.
“Both of us started our careers around 1988. I always felt he was a classical filmmaker with a golden heart. In 1993 I made a corporate film for a hospital and Pradeep edited and packaged it. He was a master at editing and packaging a project and that’s the reason he has so many ad films in his kitty. He was an extremely witty person and a workaholic. I saw him working 24x7 for days in and out and that too a smile. He never used to lose his temper on the sets which is a sign of a truly professional human being,” he shared.
The National Award winners were close and in 2020 they reunited for a four-film project. “I last met him at a party in Mumbai. Pradeep’s sense of music too was brilliant.. He loved to eat and treat others. I remember once he took a phuchkawala to the sets of Parineta for the entire cast and crew. I used to go to his house regularly; every adda with him used to enrich me, he had so much to share. Rest in peace, my friend!” remarked Aniruddha
