Kamal Roy’s film Total Masti is a comedy of errors written, scripted and written by Arindam Guha. Partha (played by Shilajit Mazumder) is the owner of a company. He is married to Anjali (played by
Sonalee
Chaudhuri) just because Anjali’s father is a rich man and the company belongs to his wife.
Partha’s life, after his office hours, is quite different. He is a party goer and has got a group of friends and a girlfriend Nisha (played by Sayantani Guha Thakurata) — a secret his wife is totally unaware of. But, after a point, Anjali starts suspecting Partha. On the other hand, we see Pritam (played by debutant Sandip Pal) at a hotel in Mandarmani. He has been married against his will to a very modern girl Shreya (played by debutant Payel Sarkar) by his grandmother. Pritam decides to spy on his wife, who never gives him any attention. Pritam follows his wife to Mandarmani and finds his boss with his girlfriend Nisha. Anjali spies on his husband Partha and gets to know he is in a hotel at Mandarmani after all. She arrives too so that she can hand over their divorce papers. What happens next, is a fulfilled comedy of errors which is to watch out for. “The film will go on the floors from May 27. I couldn’t stop
laughing
when I heard the script! This is my third film with Shilajit. It’s always good fun working with him,” said an excited Sonalee.
