The theatrical release of ‘Pathaan’ has once again been postponed and it means no February 24 release for the action entertainer in Bangladesh. If everything goes according to plan, the film might release in March. The news has already been confirmed by the production company supposed to import the SRK film in Bangladesh. Incidentally, yesterday Bangladeshi actor Dipjol had slammed the government's decision to import Hindi films claiming that Bangladeshi film industry is trying to come up with quality movies to cater every section of the audience. If Hindi films are imported then their own movies will be severely affected. He further claimed that the audience in Bangladesh prefers to see movies with their family which represents their tradition. But Hindi cinema's ideologies and Bangladeshi film's ethos don't match because Hindi movies have many vulgar songs and scenes which don’t go with the social culture in the country.

Earlier, Bangladesh’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting had confirmed that Hindi films will now be allowed to release in Bangladesh.
A few days ago 19 film-related associations had agreed that Hindi films will be given the permission to release in cinema halls in Bangladesh after a long discussion with the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation.
These associations made it clear they don’t want to stop the import of Hindi films in Bangladesh. After the meeting it was suggested that each year 10 Hindi films will be released in Bangladeshi theatres.
For the unversed, 'Pathaan' is set to become the first Bollywood film to release in Bangladesh in nearly 8 years. The spy thriller recently crossed the Rs 1,000-crore mark at the worldwide box office since its release on January 25.
