While Tanusree will play Debjani, whose skeleton was discovered by police in the house, her father Arabindo will be played by Biswajit Chakraborty. Search is still on for the actor who will slip into the shoes of Partha De, the only surviving member of the family, who is currently in a mental institution.

I used to be a crime reporter, but never ever in my career have I seen such an incident, where sex and spirituality exist side by side. The De family comprised highly educated people, who lived in a prime Kolkata locality. They played golf, went overseas and yet were very spiritual. It sounds very Victorian to me, he said.
Rhitobrata has started writing the script, but is waiting for the mystery to be resolved so he can pen an appropriate ending. He has named his characters Shakyo (Partha) and Nivedita (Debjani). On choosing Tanusree, he said, I needed somebody who can exude sophistication, but be vulnerable. She fits the bill.A research team is now ensuring the film stays factually close to the case and nothing is sensationalized.
