Paran Bandopadhyay: Till blunders are done, one cannot be an actor
With all his years of experience, Paran Bandopadhyay believes that training in acting is as important as any other field or profession. "Training gives you confidence, it's like a motor driving school. It takes away the fear," he insists.
The veteran actor whose latest film ‘Satbhut Adbhut’ releases this Friday also believes that acting has no syllabus. It's about human nature. "An actor should be full of emotions, full of life. Three weapons for an actor are observation, imagination and emotional memory," Paran explained while describing what defines a good actor.
My father used to say, “Failure is an event, never a person. Till I accept defeat, I cannot be a failure," he narrated his life-story of how he became a successful actor. "Till blunders are done, one cannot be an actor. One should not be worried about goof-ups," the veteran actor said encouraging budding actors.
Speaking about how he would be liked to be remembered, the popular actor said that being remembered as a teacher is the greatest gratification.
Meanwhile, in ‘Satbhut Adbhut’, Paran Bandopadhyay is set to play a ghost after a long time. The upcoming film, directed by Pritam Sarkar, promises to be a laugh riot as Paran and Kharaj Mukherjee will be seen on hilarious and hapless form.
It’s a story of two friends, Biltu and Rana, a thief and a ticket blacker by profession. Everything was normal till the day they both were publicly harassed due to their habit of stealing and blacking tickets. Biltu and Raja fled to a dense forest in a drunken state. In an extreme intoxicated condition they start singing and even summons the Bhooter Raja. Surprisingly, Bhooter Raja arrives and both the friends are asked for Boons. From there, the story takes a swift turn with a hefty dose of giggles.
