Parambrata Chatterjee, who is currently in Italy to shoot his directorial, Bony, with
Koel Mallick, wrote a heartfelt message for another actor in his film recently. It’s none other than
Anjan Dutt. The actor-director, who was introduced to cinema through Anjan, got a chance to direct him in Bony and couldn’t contain his excitement. “One wintry day in early 2000, this gentleman in the picture got me introduced to the film world as I know it now.
Numerous films (both with him as my director, and a Co actor) endless evening sessions (dotted with intense intellectual discourses, ‘healthy’ dose of our favourite poisons, and of course the delectable food cooked at his place), frequent phases of love and hate, and 19 years later, today life seems to have come full circle when the roles reversed and I directed Anjan Dutta the actor today for my film! It’s a strange sense of nostalgia, and completion, not to be described in words... Surinder Films #Bony it is such an honour to direct a man who I myself and lot others of my generation have grown up idolising! May this friend/kinship live on! Much love, Anjan da! (sic).” On the work front, Parambrata is the busiest at the moment. After completing Bony, he will start shooting for Sayantan Ghosal’s Satyanweshi Byomkesh, where Anjan is involved as a screenplay writer and creative supervisor. While Parambrata will be seen as Byomkesh for the first time, Rudranil Ghosh will play Ajit. Parambrata has two Puja releases this year — Password and Satyanweshi Byomkesh.
