Parambrata Chattopadhyay is riding high with his impressive works both in Tollywood and Bollywood. He’s juggling between projects with equal elan. And now, the actor-director is all set to play the lead in Kannada director Pawan Wadeyar’s first Hindi film ‘Notary’.

The social satire will see the versatile actor playing an honest employee who never lies even in the most hostile situations. Parambrata’s character is in a profession that often tempts people to compromise their core beliefs. It’s a story about how he overcomes such situations while staying true to his ethics.

Earlier there were several reports that suggested that Bobby Deol might play the lead in the film.

As per Wadeyar, it was Parambrata’s innocent look that made him a perfect fit for the role. The director revealed that when one sees Param the first thing that comes into mind is that he is a principled man and that’s what the character needed. If everything goes according to plan, ‘Notary’ will hit the shooting floors in September.

Meanwhile, Parambrata has already wrapped up the shoot of his next directorial ‘Boudi Canteen’, starring Subhashree and Param himself in the lead. He is currently shooting for Arindam Bhattacharya’s political thriller ‘Shibpur’ in which the actor will be seen as a top cop. Parambrata is also a part of the second season of the web series Mumbai Diaries playing a character with a lot of grey shades. It is going to be something with a lot of shades, shades which people haven’t seen him portray. He will also be seen sharing the screen with Taapsee Pannu in Sudhir Mishra’s anthology.
